Inspired by the North Star, the constellation associated with the union of Ariadne and Dionysus on Naxos, Corona Borealis tells a story of land, body and rebirth.
For the Naxians, Ariadne was the divine entity that embodied vegetation: a curvy female figure, tied to fruit, fertility and the cycle of life. For us, this wine conveys exactly that feeling, through its structure, oily texture and generous gastronomic nature.
Made from Fokianos, a variety native to the Cyclades, Corona Borealis is a deep salmon rosé with a Cycladic character.
Red fruits, wild herbs and caramel notes frame a complex aromatic profile, while the three-month stay in barrel adds structure and depth. In the mouth, the rounded tannins and refreshing acidity balance with its oily texture, leading to a rosé that ideally accompanies stews and dishes of island cuisine.
